I guess Deek and I still had a little sight seeing left in us after our recent vacation, so Friday morning we decided to stop by a local state park called Clifty Falls.
The only thing that separates our small town where we live in Kentucky from southern Indiana is the Ohio River. We were able to climb a tall (scary) observation tower that Deek thought looked like something straight out of the former Soviet Union.
Here’s a picture of the bridge that separates Milton from Madison.
The geography around here is a little different from what we’re used to. There are lots of hills- which is good for hiking.
Luckily the rain stayed away while we were able to walk a few trails and see some water falls.
On our way out of the park we even saw a turkey, and Deek had to have a picture. I think he wanted me to get out and chase it, but we compromised and I grabbed a few shots from the car.
